14.2 Mile Manhattan Training Run

Sunday, September 5th, 2010 7:30 AM

Organized by club member, and former President of the NYPD Running Club, Curtis Dixon, is the 14.2 Mile Manhattan Training Run. This event is a great run to add to your fall marathon training schedule. The route starts in upper Manhattan at 220th Street and Broadway and travels throughout many different neighborhoods. You will pass and see many landmarks throughout the upper& lower Westside of Manhattan. Ex: G.W. Bridge, Grants Tomb, Fireman's Memorial at 100th street, Riverside Church, Intrepid Museum, Empire State Bldg. from a distance and the 911 Memorial Site just before the finish line. Part of the route is along the beautiful Riverside Drive. (Gentle Rolling Hills) THIS IS NOT A RACE, Just a Great Training Run.
