Sunday, February 1st, 2015 9:00 AMYou?re not just an armchair quarterback. On February 1, get your own game on! Start the big day by testing the strength and accuracy of your arm in the Longest Football Throw contest starting at 8:00 a.m. Then run four miles in Central Park to burn off some pre-game energy. Wear your favorite team?s jersey to show your spirit, and make your choice for the Big Game?s champion by running under their banner near the 2-mile mark on the 102nd Street Transverse. Mile 1: Start on East Drive near East 68th Street and run north, ascending Cat Hill. Mile 2: Continue north and and pass Engineers' Gate (East 90th Street). Turn left onto the102nd Street Transverse. Mile 3: Show your support for your Super Bowl favorite by running in the lane that?s designated for your team of choice. Results will be tabulated and posted after the race. Turn left on West Drive and run south through a series of three rolling hills as you pass the Reservoir on your left. Mile 4: Enjoy a welcome downhill, then a flat section. Pass the 72nd Street Transverse and finish on West Drive at 69th Street.
