14.2 Mile Manhattan Training Run

Sunday, August 31st, 2008 7:30 AM

This event, organized by Curtis Dixon of Finest Sports (Former NYPD Running Club President), is a training run that runs the length of Manhattan.

The run begins at 220th street and Broadway and finishes at the north end of Battery Park in lower Manhattan. This a great training run for those of you who are doing a fall or winter marathon.

Each participant receives a long sleeved tee shirt, a customized medal, a 16oz Latte Cup, a desk clock, and a finisher's certificate. There will be a baggage check at the start, a trailing bus (just in case), music along the way, and six water stops. If you choose, for an additional $5 you can board a bus at the finish,5:15 to 6:00AM and be transported to the start.

This is not a race, just a great training run.
